This week’s report reaching this newsletter told that, Mayor Jamero leads other nominees for the Hall of Fame being a Child-Friendly Municipality all over the country. Mayor Jamero received his award in Malacañang last January 23, 2004 from President Arroyo and a prize of Php 1.1 million pesos as Hall of Famer.

It may be recalled, that in the year 2001 & 2002 the municipality of Dumingag has been chosen national winner of the Child-Friendly Movement (CFM).

The movement aims to promote children’s welfare and to uphold their rights as part of this society.

For the first time, Dumingag was acclaimed a promoter of a Child-
Friendly municipality and received one-million pesos as a prize.

Meanwhile, Governor Auring Enerio Cerilles who herself is a promoter of a child-friendly province has been happy to hear the news that, one of her towns in the first district is now a Hall of Famer for the Child-Friendly Movement (CFM).

CFM campaign is supported by the UN Children’s Economic Fund (UNICEF), the Department of the Interior and Local Government
(DILG) and other non-government organizations in the country.
