SANGGUNIAN PANLALAWIGAN COMMENDS DUMINGAG LGU FOR NATIONAL DISTINCTION AWARD

With the authorship of BM Roger Saniel and seconded unanimously, the Sanggunian Panlalawigan has just recently passed and approved lution No. 2k4-1827 during the 123rd regular session -- Recognizing and Commending the Local Government Unit of Dumingag led by Mayor Edgar A. Jamero as it recieved its third national award as a Child-Friendly Municipality.

Being a Hall of Famer, Dumingag recieved from the president P1.1-Million as cash prize in the said search for the Most Child Friendly Town.

The Child Friendly Movement is spearheaded by the UN International Children’s Educational Fund (UNICEF) in cooperation with the National government to promote childrens rights.
