ACCOMPLISHMENTS BY FUNCTIONS/SERVICES
Legal Services (Provincial Legal Office)
a. Under the legal services, there were 15 civil
cases on boundary conflicts handled and all had become full-blown
cases.
b. Handled ten (10) full blown cadastral cases
and 50 administrative cases
" Among the administrative cases handled,
40 were the investigations of officials and employees of the province,
30 hearings were conducted and 20 had already given decisions.
c. The office extended legal assistance to indigent
to indigent litigants in accordance with SP Resolutions No. 1236
involving 100 ongoing criminal cases, decided 50 and 20 new cases.
There were civil cases handled, 80 on going, 50 already decided
and 25 new cases.
d. Conducted 30 legal training/seminars to Local
Government Officials on Katarungang Pambarangay Law, etc.
e. Handled 200 civil cases on collection of delinquent
Real Estate taxes where the Provincial Government is a party litigant
in order to protect the right of the province, 150 cases were actual
court litigation and 100 were decided cases.
f. On support services, the office issued 4,000
affidavits/subscriptions/ certification and subpoenas, 200 Municipal
Mayors/Sangguniang Bayans through the offices of the Provincial
Governor/Sangguniang Panlalawigan received legal opinions, and 500
cases were follow up in courts
g. Interviewed and followed up 300 complainants/respondents
and vital witnesses.
h. Conducted 150 investigative works to validate
initial reports/feedback.
