ACCOMPLISHMENTS BY FUNCTIONS/SERVICES
Social Welfare and Development Services (PSWDO)
a. Assistance to Individual in Crisis Situations
(Aid to the Poor)
A total of 3,981 individual assisted for
payment of hospital bills.
There were 7,936 people assisted for the purchase of medicines.
Transportation Assistance was availed by 84 persons.
A total of 1,766 individual were provided with limited cash
assistance.
There were 210 families benefited for burial assistance
b. Livelihood Assistance
A total of 109 persons attended the Basic
Business Management Seminar (BBMS)
A total 167 families of retrenched received livelihood capital
assistance amounting to P555,100.00.
b. Disaster Management Capability Building
It is a regular and continuing activity
of the office to ensure preparedness, self-reliance, self-help and
mutual assistance among local officials and its constituents for
effective and timely delivery of services to disaster victims to
prevent needless sufferings to save lives and minimize damages of
properties, family and community.
c. Disaster Relief Services
The PSWDO responded to five (5) reported
disaster incidents as follows: three (3) fire incidents in Pagadian
City and two (2) in Bayog (Poblacion and Pubilc Market Area), whirlwind
at Matin-ao, Bayog and a vehicular accident in Bagong Argao, Molave.
A total of 1,405 families provided with
food assistance, 3,050 availed food for work and 95 families provided
with emergency shelter assistance.
d. Community Based Programs
There were 830 reported Day Care Workers
throughout the province who received honoraria & uniform from
the provincial government. A DCW Convention was held last September
attended by all DCWs.
Three (3) trainings for DCW and integrated
ECCD were conducted with a total of 255 participants funded by UNICEF.
Assistance to Senior Citizens & Physically
Challenged Persons
Per RA 7432 & RA 7476, senior citizens
were assisted by the Provincial Government through the conduct of
three (3) meetings and conferences.
Two (2) special meetings conducted for the
personally challenge person.
The Kapisanan Ng Mga May Kapansanan sa ZDS
(KAMSUR) elected & inducted new sets of officers, discussed
Magna Carta for disabled persons and successfully conducted a Christmas
Party.
Provincial KALIPI General Assembly was held
last March in consonance with Women's Month Celebration.
Served 25 clients for rehabilitation process
at the center.
A total amount of P 38,500.00 cash assistance
was processed and released to 18 rebel returnees.
13 rebel returnees availed the total amount
of P 24,500.00 for educational assistance.
The Provincial Government provided allocation
for the meetings/ conferences and monitoring of CIDSS projects financed
by DSWD to 5th and 6th class municipality of the province.
Processed Phil. Health Cards to the 21,100
indigent persons for availing free medical/hospitalization.
