Air Transportation
There is only one (1) airport existing in the province.
It is classified as a secondary airport that accommodates both commercial
and private aircrafts. It serves as the main air transport facility
of flights in the province bound for Zamboanga and Cebu cities.
On June 4 1998, commercial flights of the Philippine
Airlines stopped its operation in Pagadian City. A few months later,
two (2) airline companies operated in the city, however, the operations
of the said companies were suspended/stopped. Presently the Pagadian
City Domestic Airport is serving only the South East Asian Airlines
(SEAIR) bound for Cebu City via Dipolog and Zamboanga City (Table
7-9). The airport is also serving private and military aircrafts.
